Produced by Slightly Mad Studios, credited with creating the Need for Speed Shift Series and a Test Drive: Ferrari Instalment; Project CARS's development brought the gaming community together offering roles such as content creation, testing and marketing. Benefactors who funded the game receive a percentage of the profit generated within the first 3 years of sales; the great thing about Project CARS which actually stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator is that it isn't all about the money but purely about a game project that has the potential to become the greatest racing simulator.

Its release was meant to be scheduled for April the third, yet due to further delays, gamers can expect to see the game arrive in mid may. Slightly Mad Studios are saying that Project CARS is practically complete, and there is just 0.1% of the game that needs to be tweaked, removing ‘tricky’ bugs and other issues.
